Our Work

We are proud of our work and the impact it has. A few recent examples have helped transform services through insight and analysis. For the better.

Police

Violence Against Women and Girls

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Kent needed a detailed big data analysis of Violence Against Women and Girls as a key component of the new strategy. We processed millions of lines of data and produced new insights that were both surprising and confirming of existing expectations in equal measure.

Police

Child to Parent Domestic Violence

Working with University of Central Lancashire, we provided the analytics for a major Home Office funded research project on an under explored, but significant form of domestic violence that has an especially traumatic impact on victims. We used leading data science techniques to identify four types of offender and their characteristics which can be used to inform targeting and intervention strategies.

Police

Sex Offending and Domestic Violence

We've provided highly detailed data led analysis of sex offenders and domestic violence in a number of force areas. This is helping to transform understanding and approaches to tackling this type of offender and crime. We're very proud to be making a difference which one Chief Constable described as 'changing the way policing is done in the UK'.

Police

Force Control Room

We built a very detailed and accurate 'digital twin' model of the way calls to a police control room are handled. This included all the natural phenomena such as quiet and busy periods, staff absence and differences in skill levels and other real-world characteristics. This allowed management to test improvement hypotheses 'in the lab' before risking them in the real world leading to confident transition to improved ways of working.

Local Authority

Revenues and Benefits

We provided a detailed analysis of process performance which generated new solutions to improve productivity and performance. We used the analysis to construct a simulation of the entire process and modelled options to improve the service further.

Local Authority and partners

Partnership wide Economic Business Case

We developed a detailed evidence based economic case to secure investment in service transformation. This followed and exceeded the requirements of the Green Book and contained detailed risk analysis using the same techniques deployed by investment banking to provide confidence and support partners commitment.
